God's Time Not My Time

So it just goes to prove that babies are suppose to be born when God says it is time, not when we say it is time. My due date was June 16th. I was scheduled on June 9th for a c-section. I made all of my plans for having the baby on that day. There was lots of things I was planning on doing in the last week like for example packing my suitcase for the hospital. Well, I guess God had different ideas. Early on Monday morning, I woke up with some intense pain on my side. It wasn't a contraction, but a sharp stab. After being up for over an hour and Chris researching on the web different things it could be, we finally called the on-call Dr. and she told us to come on in so she could check us out. So we put on some clothes, woke up Braden, and jumped into the car. Chris' mom met us at the hospital to pick up Braden and we told her we were just being checked and that it would probable only take about an hour or so. Needless to say that after they admitted me to the hospital we were kind of getting the idea that it would be a bit longer than an hour. That is when my Dr. came in and said that we needed to go ahead and take her out. He would be ready in an hour. We then asked if we could do it in two hours. He agreed. So Chris made a mad dash home to pack our bags as fast as he could, grab the camera, and rush back to the hospital in rush hour traffic. He walked in and gowned up as they were ready to start. So then at 9:44am our little Kaylee Nicole was here.

Yep, I'm nesting

Last night after I finished cleaning the kitchen when we were done with dinner, I was standing in the middle of the kitchen and something hit me. I had to go and wash my car. Yes it needed to be washed, but I HAD to do it right then and right there. So here I am at 8:30 at night in my skirt and nice shirt outside scrubbing away at my car. Chris comes out to see what I am doing and needless to say that he is shocked that I am washing my car. I don't normally wash my car. In fact I have never washed this car and I have had it for almost 2 years. When I was done I proceeded to dry it and then vacuum it out. I finally finished up at around 10:00. Then it was on to my next project. Normally I am asleep around 10 or at least getting ready for bed. Nope not now. It was time to clean out underneath my sink. After working at Bath & Body Works for 9 years, I have quite a collection of lotions, washes, splashes, etc. So you can imagine what it looked like. It is still a project in the works, but it will be done today.

11 more days and counting down!

I only have 11 more days until baby girl is here. Wow am I ready. After having a long night of contractions I am more than ready to have this baby. Chris' comment was that it is going to be a LONG weekend if they continue.

I started thinking about all of the things that I still haven't done yet and I only have 11 days to get it done. I feel bad because there is so much more I did before I had Braden and I haven't even started doing it for little girl. One thing is a photo album. For Braden, I had one of my good friends (who does amazing photography) come and do a bunch of maternity shots. With this baby, I think we might have taken 2 pictures of my belly the entire pregnancy. I guess what they say about your second child having less pictures is right.

It's about time!

After many years of saying, "I think I am going to create a blog" it is finally done! Now there are no guarantees of how often I will post to it, but I am going to try.
